ALLPOWERS R1500: what it runs in an outage
On paper the R1500 is the strongest 1kWh-class station we cover: as much battery as the AC180, a higher surge rating, the most solar input in its class and real expansion. The questions are the brand and the name.
Good fit if you…
- want the strongest spec sheet in the 1kWh class — surge, solar and expansion
- plan to use solar (650W max)
- want room to grow — up to three B1000 batteries
Look elsewhere if you…
- are looking at the R1500 LITE — a different, smaller model (1,056Wh, 1,600W)
- need to carry it often (36.8 lb — among the heaviest in its class)
Estimated runtimes
These come from the same calculation as the planner: our representative appliance figures, efficiency estimated from the load, and a 10% battery reserve. The range runs from our cautious to our optimistic estimate; verdicts use the expected value in between. Your appliances will differ — try your own.
| Load | Runtime | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi, lights and phones, 8 hours | about 11–15 h | Covers it |
| Fridge alone, 12 hours | about 11–15 h | Only just |
| Fridge, Wi-Fi and lights, 12 hours | about 6.9–8.3 h | Short — expansion battery fixes it |
| CPAP with heated humidifier, one night (8 hours) | about 15–21 h | Covers it (estimate — test first) |
| Work-from-home day: Wi-Fi, lights, phone, laptop (8 hours) | about 7.7–9.3 h | Only just |
| CPAP plus fridge, overnight (8 hours) | about 7.5–9.0 h | Only just (estimate — test first) |
What the numbers mean for you
Start with the name: the “1500” in R1500 is its maximum AC charging input, not its output. It delivers 1,800W continuous with a 3,000W surge.
On our estimate it runs a typical fridge for about 13 hours and Wi-Fi, lights and phones for about 14. With B1000 batteries it can grow to 4,608Wh — by our arithmetic from ALLPOWERS’ figures of three B1000s at 1,152Wh each — enough for a fridge, Wi-Fi and lights through a full day and more.
Against the BLUETTI AC180 (same battery, same output): the R1500 has a higher surge rating, more solar and expansion; the AC180 is slightly lighter.
Limitations and things to check
- Not the R1500 LITE (1,056Wh, 1,600W) — check the exact model before buying.
- ALLPOWERS doesn’t state a total expansion capacity; 4,608Wh is our sum of its published figures.
- Its cycle claim (3,500+) gives no end-of-life percentage, so it can’t be compared with other brands.
- Some figures come from ALLPOWERS’ EU site and a manual hosted by a third party, because the US page shows fewer specs.

Alternatives worth comparing
- BLUETTI AC180 — same battery and output, lower surge, no expansion, 1.5 lb lighter.
- EcoFlow DELTA 2 — less battery but 10 lb lighter, also expandable.
- BLUETTI AC200L — the 2kWh step up if you’d rather not add batteries.
