EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max: what it runs in an outage
The DELTA 2 Max is what you buy when the question is “fridge, Wi-Fi and lights through the night,” not “just the fridge.” It doubles the DELTA 2’s battery and has the highest surge rating of any station we cover.
Availability: Shown as sold out / pre-order at EcoFlow US when checked 2026-10-12.
Good fit if you…
- want a fridge, Wi-Fi and lights covered through a 12-hour outage with room to spare
- run appliances with big start-up spikes (well pumps excluded — those usually need a hard-wired solution)
- may grow to a multi-day setup (up to 6,144Wh with two extra batteries)
Look elsewhere if you…
- need to carry it up stairs often (50 lb)
- need it this week — EcoFlow US listed it as sold out / pre-order when we checked
- only need lights and Wi-Fi; a 1kWh station does that for far less weight
Estimated runtimes
These come from the same calculation as the planner: our representative appliance figures, efficiency estimated from the load, and a 10% battery reserve. The range runs from our cautious to our optimistic estimate; verdicts use the expected value in between. Your appliances will differ — try your own.
| Load | Runtime | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi, lights and phones, 8 hours | about 20–27 h | Covers it |
| Fridge alone, 12 hours | about 20–26 h | Covers it |
| Fridge, Wi-Fi and lights, 12 hours | about 12–15 h | Covers it |
| CPAP with heated humidifier, one night (8 hours) | about 26–37 h | Covers it (estimate — test first) |
| Work-from-home day: Wi-Fi, lights, phone, laptop (8 hours) | about 14–17 h | Covers it |
| CPAP plus fridge, overnight (8 hours) | about 13–16 h | Covers it (estimate — test first) |
What the numbers mean for you
Its 2,048Wh battery puts it in a different league from the 1kWh class: on our estimate it runs a typical fridge for nearly a full day, and a fridge with Wi-Fi and lights for about 13–14 hours. That makes it the smallest step that comfortably covers an overnight outage with the essentials on.
The 4,800W surge rating is the highest in our catalog, so start-up spikes from fridges, freezers and most window air conditioners aren’t the constraint — energy is. A window AC running for hours will still empty it quickly.
Against the BLUETTI AC200L, which has the same battery size and output: the DELTA 2 Max is 12 lb lighter and has a higher surge rating; the AC200L takes more solar, expands further and was in stock when we checked.
Limitations and things to check
- Availability: shown as sold out / pre-order at EcoFlow US on Oct 12, 2026. EcoFlow also sells the newer DELTA 3 Max.
- X-Boost is listed at 3,400W in US marketing and 3,100W in UK/EU specs — a regional conflict in EcoFlow’s own material. It is not surge.
- Some US charging figures come from EcoFlow’s Amazon listing rather than its own site.

Alternatives worth comparing
- BLUETTI AC200L — same 2,048Wh and 2,400W; heavier, more solar (1,200W), bigger expansion, and in stock when checked.
- EcoFlow DELTA 2 — half the battery and half the weight, expandable to 3,040Wh later.
